Ok, finally, I know I have said I wasn't going to post other parts of my photography and such, but this is my best downloaded photograph of flowers in my yard. When it's Spring, Summer, and Fall, I love to go out and get these beautiful flowers from my yard and create a nice vase for inside my house. I think it brightens up the place and is quite fun. I don't just use any old vase, although I'm known to. I do like to use other things, such as this nice brandy glass! Since I'm not a brandy drinker, I think it worked out really nice for this set of flowers.
Strangely enough, two of them appear to be a type of Lilly, but they grow super tall and are all red and orange. The thing is, when I first moved into this house, I didn't know they even flowered. By mid summer, there they were, tons of them outside my kitchen window!
The great thing about them is, well, they were blocking my outside view, so I just pulled them up by their roots and have planted them other places around my yard so I can get a mixture of color in at least 3 of the seasons! Once in awhile a bit of foilage, even if it's a stem from another plant or weed even, I might put it in there to add a little something. Not usually though.
Well, I hope you enjoy this, since it is my most downloaded flower vase, you feel free to use it if you like (I wouldn't mind a bit of credit where you snagged it from though lol) check out my google links, as they are sure to find you great florest, and maybe you can print the photo off and take it to FTD or other florist and have this made for someone you know, or at least close to it.
I have to say, I am not a flower effcianado (I'm sure that is spelled wrong lol) but I know I love Gladdy's and Iris type flowers, and they make absolutely beautiful arrangements, not to mention they make a whole room brighten up and the smell is just fabulous! Maybe I'll post a few more if I get a request, as I do photograph every single arrangement I make! Also, this might sound a bit nutty :) but while florist put a bit of babys breath in as the foilage, I might grab that single stem outside, a weed or maybe even a dried weed from around the yard. I've been known to stop on the side of the road and pick up a few unseen ones, so what I make is far different from a florist.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this a bit more than my ramblings :) about my photography and self photography. Maybe I'll get into posting some of my others, as I get intriguied by some very off the wall things! lol. Enjoy, right click, click "save as" and you mail it to someone, maybe it'll brighten their day as well.
Kathy
